Drawing her inspiration from the skills of local mastercrafstmen, Sylvie Dina has chosen to revisit the way of life as it used to be in these wonderful traditional family dwellings to make Riad Akka into a very special space - contemporary and timeless, elegant and tranquil, with a designer edge to a respectful reinterpretation of the architectural heritage of Marrakesh.

Modern comfort and contemporary decor

A unique place in the Old City of Marrakesh, Riad Akka gives a new meaning to refurbishment when it comes to the riads of Marrakesh. Rather than simply recreating the past, the new owners have decided to breathe new life into this dwelling by revisiting a lifestyle as it used to be in these family houses in the Old City of Marrakesh with their rich traditions. The essential inward-looking character of traditional vernacular architecture has been preserved but our designer riad in Marrakesh adopts a contemporary approach to proportions and decor.

The 5 rooms at our luxury riad ally comfort, elegance and tranquility through a restrained and understated decor inspired by different regions in Morocco. Boasting fixtures and fittings worthy of a boutique hotel, the rooms are delightful cocoons ideal for rest and relaxation.

Conceived and designed by Sylvie Dina, an interior designer and one of the owners of the riad, the furniture and décor of this designer riad is a tribute to the outstanding skills of the craftsmen of Marrakesh. The designs make use of traditional local materials to create pure style and elegance.
